
Charles Norton
Charles Norton was born in Leicester and since 2008, has mostly worked as a writer, director and producer for the BBC. Between 2016 and 2020, he produced and directed a number of Doctor Who animated dramas for BBC Studios and BBC America, including 'Doctor Who - The Macra Terror', for which he won a Royal Television Society Award. In 2023 he directed and produced the five-part series, 'Dad's Army - The Missing Episodes' for BBC Studios and UKTV. He has also worked on numerous documentaries for the BBC.
Charles Norton has written two non-fiction books: 'Serial Thrillers' (2012) and ‘Now on the Big Screen' (2013). He has also written for 'The Guardian', 'The Times', 'BBC History Magazine', 'SFX Magazine', 'History Today', 'TV Zone' and 'Starburst'.
1913 is his first novel and is publishing March 2027
