Susan Murray writes epic fantasy and SF. Born in the Cumberland part of Cumbria she now lives with her husband in the Westmorland part, paradoxically just inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park. She tackled an Open University degree to show solidarity when her daughters were burdened with school homework, but enjoyed it so much she went on to study the Lancaster University MA in Creative Writing (Distance Learning), graduating with Distinction. When not writing she can often be found perched up a ladder putting finishing touches to renovation work on their home.
