John Storey is an award-winning author of fourteen academic books, some existing in multiple editions, translated into nineteen languages. To Fetch a Pail of Water is his second novel. He is currently working on a fourth, Gentle People with Flowers in Their Hair, which will mark the return of a much older Tom Renfield, the private detective of A Drowning Man.
