Her trail leads him to Duskfield Pines, a lakeside town that once held warm memories - but what he finds is far from the place he remembers. The roads are fractured, the buildings hollowed out, and the town itself feels suspended in time… or forgotten by it.
As he searches for his daughter, Chris is drawn into a place where the lines between past and present blur, and reality begins to unravel. Some memories refuse to stay buried. The buildings seem to shift around him. And the deeper he ventures, the more the town reflects back truths he's spent years trying to forget.
Each path forwards brings him closer to answers about the town, his past, and what really happened to the wife he lost. But some truths are buried for a reason - and not everything that's lost wants to be found.
Duskfield Pines is a slow-burning psychological horror novel that explores how grief distorts memory, and how far one father will go to reach the child he loves.
